Protein Indulgence is a delicious new protein snack from the UK-based supplement company Applied Nutrition. It is quite a unique product featuring a very different build and shape compared to a typical protein bar, although - or maybe for this reason - it is actually one of the best tasting protein bars we’ve ever had.
You honestly wouldn’t expect much from the protein bar, especially when pulled it out of its packet - looks a bit dull and boring. After that first bite, however, it’s hard not to fall in love. Like you can imagine, we've tried a lot of snacks and we keeptesting each and every day, which is why we were even more blown away by the flavor and texture of this bar. Quite unlike anything we've tried over here these Protein Indulgence Bars are multi-layered with a chocolatty-nutty base, caramel crispy layer, another caramel layer (yet soft) and finished off with a thick milk chocolate topping! When all these flavours combine you truly get a strong (super sweet but not artificial) chocolate hazelnut caramel taste that reminds of best childhood flavorslike when you didn't care about macro or calories too much (or at all!).
Applied Nutrition’s Protein Indulgence starts with a solid, crispy piece filled base that crumbles as soon as you bite into it. The texture is amazing thanks to extra crispy layer, you don't get any kind of chewiness you'd usually expect from a caramel layered bar, just a light, crispy, almost melting in your mouth sweet experience that's sure to remind you of your childhood favourite treats.
Based on flavor experience, Protein Indulgence features a surprisingly lean nutrition profile, especially for the amount of delicious chocolate and caramel packed into this sweet brick. One fully satisfying cravings square Protein Indulgence provides 15g of protein, 17,5g of carbohydrates with less than 2g of sugar, 9,2g of fat, and that in a total of just 200 calories.
The protein bar’s combination of a crispy, biscuit-like base and sweet chocolate and caramel flavors, makes for an experience like nothing we’ve ever had.
