Oligofructose plays the so-called function in the body. soluble dietary fiber fraction, is not subject to ligation in the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract and is resistant to hydrolysis with digestive enzymes - is fermented only in the colon by anaerobic bacteria where it acts as a stimulator for the development of bifidobacteria residing in the large intestine - in some ways has similar properties to inulin (chicory root flour), but it is more soluble than it.
