FitStyle Wanted Fiber Syrup, Chocolate Light is an incredibly thick chocolate-flavored glaze without any sugar or carbohydrates and an unusually high fiber content. A sensational addition to omelets, pancakes, desserts, as a cream for fit cakes, cheesecakes and protein ice cream.
The recipe of most sugar-free syrups follows a well-known pattern:
syrup = water + flavor + xanthan gum + sweetener
FitStyle Wanted Fiber Syrup is completely different - unique and incomparable to any other sugar-free syrup. First of all, it's not a sauce or a syrup - the only proper term is a glaze, because the consistency is so thick that it can be hard to pull out of the bottle!
The FitStyle topping is also unique in other respects - there is neither a gram of fat, nor a gram of carbohydrates, nor a gram of sugar in it. Total zero. The only calories in this insanely sweet sea of deliciousness come from fiber, which is responsible for the incredible thickness of this geniusly delicious sauce.
The source of fiber in FitStyle sauces is polydextrose, a type of water-soluble fraction of dietary fiber that is not digested in the upper digestive tract. The density of polydextrose in products has fewer calories than regular sugar (1 kcal / gram compared to 4 kcal / gram in normally digestible carbohydrates). Polydextrose is characterized by a low glycemic index (GI = 4-7) and has no significant effect on increasing the level of glucose and insulin in the blood, therefore it is used in products for diabetics.
Chemically, polydextrose is a polymer of D-glucose, sorbitol, and citric acid; tasteless and odorless polydextrose is used in sweet, dessert dairy products, primarily dietary and low-calorie dairy products, replacing carbohydrates (primarily as an alternative to sugars and starches) and fats. Polydextrose is a vegan and gluten-free ingredient usually obtained from corn starch, unlike polyols such as maltitol or erytrol, it is caramelized as a result of the so-called Maillard reactions.
