Joe & Seph's Hot Cross Bun Caramel Spread is a handmade, real caramel cream based on thick sweet cream with the addition of sea salt with the addition of raisins, citrus and spices characteristic of the hot cross bun loved in England during the Easter period.

Hot Cross Bun are yeast buns traditionally baked on Good Friday in many Christian countries. Slightly sweet, with a lot of Korean raisins and candied orange peel, smelling of spices... in England they can be enjoyed all year round, although the peak of their popularity is invariably at Easter. Tradition links the origins of hot cross buns to the 6th century, when Pope Gregory ordered that on Good Friday to eat only bread, salt and vegetables.
