The main ingredient of halva is of course sesame paste, i.e. crushed, roasted sesame seeds, to which halva owes its unique, intense flavor, so hand-prepared halva is then sweetened with xylitol - and only with xylitol! It does not contain maltitol, acesulfame or any artificial sweeteners, also does not contain sugar, making it suitable for people on a low-carb and low-glycemic diet
