Steiner's Low(er) Carb Schokokuchen - a chocolate delight without remorse
Aroma and taste that pampers
Already during the mixing of the dough, the kitchen is filled with the deep aroma of cocoa broken by the delicate caramel note of isomalt. The baked block smells like a classic brownie, and the first bite reveals an intensely chocolatey profile with a hint of vanilla and the subtle sweetness of erythritol. Thanks to lupine flour, the flesh is dense and slightly moist, reminiscent of a brownie, but without the heaviness of a traditional cake. The delicate, crunchy crust creates a pleasant contrast with the velvety interior.
Consistency and ease of preparation
- Simple recipe: just 4 eggs and a little oil - zero complicated substitutions.
- Smooth, uniform batter after just 2 minutes of mixing; no sagging after baking, easy to pull away from the mold.
- Moist texture stays fresh even after 3 days - perfect for a lunchbox or as a cake base.
Keto-friendly macronutrients
- Only 6.3 g net carbohydrates per serving (1/10th of a cake) - as much as 78% less than in a traditional chocolate cake.
- 0.4 g of sugars thanks to a combination of isomalt and erythritol ( 97% less sugar in total).
- 20% fiber in the mix - from lupine and oats, supports peristalsis and prolongs satiety.
- 11 g of protein in 100 g of baked dough - supports recovery without the burden of lactase (whey <0.2% lactose).
Power of ingredients
- Lupin flour - adds fluffiness, provides arginine and natural fiber.
- Oat fiber - lowers the glycemic index of baked goods, supports the microbiota.
- Reduced-fat cocoa - retains the flavor of the beans with minimal calories.
- Isomalt + erythritol - pleasant, pure sweetness without the risk of sudden glucose spikes.
Benefits that feel both on the palate and on the macro balance
- Gluten-free & lactose-free - safe for those with wheat and lactose intolerance.
- Keto-fit - fits into daily carbohydrate limit, doesn't knock you out of ketosis.
- Reduced calories - 141 kcal in a solid piece; perfect "coffee cake" on a reduction diet.
- High fiber content takes care of satiety and digestive comfort.
Serving Inspirations
- Serve with erythritol sugar meringue for texture contrast.
- Top with an 85% dark chocolate ganache - still keto, but elevates the decadence.
- Cut into cubes and coat in cocoa; the result is one-bite truffles that will surprise your guests.

Additional information: Steiner's Low(er) Carb Schokokuchen - a mix for baking chocolate cake without added sugar, high in fiber, with sweeteners Small baking tin (20 x 7 cm) Tip: We recommend refined rapeseed oil. It has a neutral flavor but still provides healthy fatty acids. Cold-pressed rapeseed oil, on the other hand, has a fresh, grainy, and slightly carbonated flavor that may not appeal to everyone and can alter the flavor of the cake.
