FITGridients Aspartame 100g - pure aspartame without fillers E-951

FITGridients (formerly FitFood Purely Sweet) is a series of products comprising pure sweeteners in concentrated form - with no bulk fillers (such as inulin or maltodextrin) or liquid base (glycerin or its aqueous solution is the most common).

The FitFood Purely Sweet series is dedicated to those familiar with the methods of using highly concentrated sweeteners, who are experienced in their skillful dosage, taking into account the extraordinary intensity of sweetness, several hundred times exceeding the sweetness of sugar.

Concentrated pure sweeteners are particularly useful as an ingredient in proprietary sweetening blends based on erythrol, xylitol, inulin, isomalt or tagatose, with the addition of a selected intense sweetener or a mixture of several such sweeteners, they also prove useful as an additive to desserts, ice cream or candy, or as an ingredient that modifies finished products - such as a sweetening additive to a protein supplement that is not sweet enough.

Aspartame (E-951) is included in the group of non-nutritive intense sweeteners and is 200 times sweeter than table sugar - a 25g package is equivalent in sweetness to 5kg of sugar. Aspartame is the most widely used intense sweetener in the world.

The suggested maximum concentration is 1000mg in 1kg or 1L of finished food.

Aspartame does not increase the caloric content of food products, and is intended for cold consumption, such as sweet drinks, ice cream and desserts. In its basic form, aspartame leaves no aftertaste, and has the property of enhancing and fixing fruit flavor and aroma, especially citrus flavors.

Aspartame should not be used in baking because it is unstable at high temperatures - under their influence it breaks down into free amino acids and loses its sweetening properties - so neither aspartame nor sweeteners based on it are suitable not only for baked goods, cooked or pasteurized foods, but also for sweetening coffee or tea

The ADI (acceptable daily intake) is up to 40mg per 1kg of body weight per day.
