Casarecce pasta are small, curly tubes or rolls with a spiral shape that resemble small pieces of paper rolled around a pen. Their name "casarecce" comes from the Italian word "casareccio", which means "homemade" or "traditional". This pasta is typical of the southern regions of Italy, especially Sicily.
