The basis of the ketogenic diet are fats. As in all cases, however, not all types of fat are proper and recommended. It should be remembered that in the case of a ketogenic diet, fat is the most important source of energy. It is important, therefore, to choose the fat added to the dishes to pay attention to the fulfillment of this function. We do not care that fat will be stored and put aside for later. The fat is to be used on an ongoing basis, it is a source of energy for basic life functions, physical exercises, etc. It is to replace the glucose that until now had served this function.
