Plant-based foods, unlike animal foods, are not complete sources of protein: that is, they don't contain all the essential amino acids our body needs. Fortunately, thanks to the so-called completing (combining different sources of plant-based protein), we can obtain a complete set of proteins.

This is exactly what we did in developing the Vegan Protein Bar, combining two complementary sources of protein: rice proteins containing less lysine but rich in sulfur amino acids (e.g. cysteine ​​and methionine), with pea proteins containing less sulfur amino acids but high in lysine.
