The properties of Plantago psyllium have been known since ancient times, especially appreciated due to the very high content of fiber, which can be an excellent remedy for constipation and slimming. Why are these seeds so special? Small psyllium grains are rich in protein, polysaccharides, fats and fiber - in 100 g we will find over 50 g.
It is recommended to consume 7 grams (2 teaspoons) twice a day about 30 minutes before a meal. Pour into a glass and pour lukewarm water, wait about 5 minutes. When using psyllium seed, it is recommended to drink about 2 liters of water.
Psyllium is great for ailments of the digestive system. After ingestion of psyllium seeds, mucus forms in the intestines, which facilitates bowel movements. In this day and age of highly processed foods and a sedentary lifestyle, Plantago psyllium is a savior for many. The mucilage that is produced by these small seeds also has a protective and soothing effect.
Psyllium seeds are a must-have addition to any slimming diet. Swelling grains in our stomach lead to a faster feeling of satiety and accelerate metabolism. Fiber, which is contained in psyllium seeds, improves glucose and insulin levels in the blood and regulates cholesterol levels.
Psyllium:
- supports the regularity of bowel movements,
- accelerates intestinal peristalsis,
- prevents stagnation and hardening of fecal masses,
- soothes inflammation of the digestive system mucosa
